Viewing total quantity before checkout

How do I view the total quantity of my current sale before I accept payment? For example, the customer wants 5 of flavor A, 24 flavor B, 15 flavor C, 29 flavor D, and 14 flavor E. How do I see a total number of items on the iPad app before card or cash payment instead of having to do the math in my head or get out a calculator? I can see the total quantity on the iPhone app, but not the iPad.

this is a great feature of the iPhone app but for some reason, it is missing from the iPad app.  I'm not sure why because I would love it to be in the top right corner next to "current sale "

"Current Sale (13)" would be great to see there are 13 items in the cart.
