Trouble with Item CSV Import

Is there a way to copy items? I have several similar items that have the exact same variations. Each one ends up to being 55 lines with the variations and the import tool does not appear to be working. I would love to be able to just copy the item and change the name and description.  Without the import tool, it is taking way too much time to add new items to my catalog.

I also have a problem centered around importing and copying items. I have a ticket with support, if they can solve my problem it will solve yours as well. I'll post a succesful response as soon as I get one.

 

Let me know if you get yours cleared up first.

@suzannehealy What about the Import Tool was giving you trouble? Making these changes for each of your items one by one would definitely be tedious and time consuming. 

 

Were you getting any type of error when trying to use the Import Tool?

It is definitely tedious! I have 77 price variations that I will have to completely type in again if I can't copy or import.

I have replicated the problem with support, they were unable to get items to import as well. They are working on it now, and we should here back with a resolution by tomorrow.

Have they fixed the import issues yet?  I can't import and I've done everything that they tell you to do... still getting error messages.  I can't even get thru to anyone on the phone, tells me the code I'm entering isn't a valid code.

I know they are working on it now. I'll get notified when they suspect it is completed, and post here for everyone to chek on it. It looks like it was a glitch.

Have you gotten any response on your issue?  I'm having difficulties importing too.  I can't even get thru to anyone on the phones, keeps telling me code isn't a valid code and to go back to my account to get a new code.

Do you have multiple locations? A deactivated location could generate an invalid code.

Hi all!

 

I have an update on this ongoing issue (thank you @Fresh1 for reaching out and working with our Support Team to replicate this). 

 

Apparently the problem had to do with uploading item images and also uploading the CSV Imports. 

 

Starting yesterday afternoon it became safe to create Item Images. Our Engineering Team has created a fix that should resolve any other sellers that created Item Images during that time, so the CSV import will no longer be broken.

 

While this was implemented yesterday, it is still in the "Review" phase, meaning we still need feedback from sellers like yourselves to know if it is truly resolved or if anybody is still having trouble. 

 

Let me know if anything comes up, or if you're still running into the same problem.

I have multiple locations, and added a new one today. Unfortunatley, I am unable to see my item library when creating/importing new items for the store.

I had no problems adding them to another location a few days ago. My new location has the library shared to the new location, but nothing will generate to import inside of the site editor. My other locatons behave normally, but any locations I add moving forward will not display my item library.

 

Im stumped. Any suggestions besides creating all the items from scratch?

I've only got one location, but have been unable to see my inventory/item library in my dashboard for a few days (I can see items on the iPad, but no quantities are visible there).  Wonder if it's a glitch, but regardless - it's making it very difficult to implement this system for my store right now.

@Fresh When you added a new location, were you able to clone over the Item Library so that those items would be present when importing to the Site Editor? 

 

@claas8401 Were you still running into this? I looked into this on my end and all of the Item Library and Inventory count features seem to be up and running as normal.

Yes, When I created new locations in the past I was able to clone no problem. Only recently has this begin. Enginering is looking into it.

I had to re-load the entire inventory.  Unfortunately, I lost all of the images I had and the setup that I was able to see before in my ipad.  I've basically got to start over.
