The owner of our account has retired. How do i go about changing the owner to me as I have been the only one using the account. Not sure why he was listed as the owner to be honest.
Below is the link to the page to transfer business but as you see from the rest of the text this does work when selling a business. (New Owner?)

Transfer business
This transfers the business to a new person within your organization. To process payments, Square needs to verify their identity. Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to process payments during the transfer process.
NOTE: This feature is not supported when selling a business.
What I did from the Previous owner was I set up my own Square account in the Business Name, a legal business name I created with Checking account etc. Used all that information to process my application with Square. Once it was approved was when we closed on the sale. Now since you have access to the old banking information etc, you might be able to set up a new Square account and once you get you acceptance just switch everything on your hardware to your new account. BUT before activating your hardware and processing sales; make sure you download and upload you current customers, inventory etc from the old account to the new account. I noticed I can change Business Name and Language and Transfer Business, but the actual Owner of the account has no option for this. Maybe you can look into the Transfer business from Previous owner who retired and fill in your information. I did not click on the Transfer Business since I am not going to get to a point of no return and have to transfer mine to ???? You could also call Square Support to find out how this works.
Thanks for the help. I am thinking transfer the business might work
