Tax is set up correctly in Square and applied to all items. However, there is no tax on our sales.

Why isn't tax being collected on our ONLINE sales?   We have checked and double checked the settings.  An 8.25% tax is applied to ALL ITEMS.   What are we missing?

Square will only collect tax on items shipped within your state.  It will add it once a shipping address is added within your state.

this has been talked about quite a few times.  Here are some links to past discussions.

from the above article

"Is tax applied to orders shipped out of state?

No. Tax is only applied to online sales shipped within your state. For specific information on calculating and charging tax, you can reference the U.S. Small Business Administration’s website, talk to a tax advisor, or contact your local government."

Every state has different laws so consult with your tax attorney to know what is correct in your state.
