Square Store purchase - customer information

I am in the process of setting up a Square Store to sell classes to my clients. I am also using an online registration form (Gravity Form) to collect information about the registrant (name, class name/time, contact info, etc).

 

The issue I am having is that I am not sure what information I will receive when someone purchases a class from the store and how I can match it with the submitted registration form. I want to make sure that I link a registration recieved with an item purchased.  Will I be able to see any information about the person who is purchasing a class (name, email address?).  Thank you!

Hello @LDS, if you are doing an in person transaction I recommend recording a customers information using our Customer Directory. If a customer swipes or dips their card you will not have access to their email address or their full name. So using the directory feature will allow you collect all of the information you might need for registration!

The intention is to do all transactions through the store, not in person.  My understanding is that there is field available during checkout that allows a customer to leave a note for the seller.  We will ask the buyers to enter relevant details in that field to collect more info on the registration.  Even in they don't fill that field in, I think we will know their name and email address after they purchase a class from the store.  Can you confirm this @Chad?

Oh I see now @LDS! Yes in this case you could use the note to the seller field. you will have access to the customers name and email address from the orders page!
