Square Register v. Square for Retail, Barcode printing?

Is the only difference in services between Square Register and Square for Retail the ability to print bar code labels? Did I make a mistake purchasing a Square Register? I don't want to pay $60 a month just to print them. =(

There are a few other differences between the two @kcbroyce so it'll depend what you need for your business!

This Support Center article compares the featuers of Square for Retail and Square Point of Sale (the Square Register has Point of Sale features built-in).

Another thing to consider is that the Square for Retail app is currently only available on iPads. If you just ordered a Register when it arrives you can set it up on a countertop and it'll be ready to go. But if you've changed your mind by the time it arrives there is a 30-day return policy for orders made in the Square Shop.
