Split tender with Square gift card on site?

I'm trying to find out if it is possible to redeem an eGift card for an amount less than the total and apply the balance to a different source of payment in my online store.  It currently appears that a gift card can only be used if the value meets our exceeds the purchase price.

Do you mean entering the gift card number below and paying the rest with your card?

Hi and thanks for responding.  For either shipping or pickup.  Yes,  i do mean entering the gift card and paying the rest with credit card.

As long as it's just for pickup or shipping (cannot be applied to delivery), on a Square site, with a Square Gift Card:

Does this also apply on a GoDaddy site?

@Chrysta this is for Square Online sites only, with Square Gift Cards.

Do you know of a workaround for non-square sites? This is problematic and will likely result in discontinuance of square gift cards.
