Spirit night

We are considering doing a Spirit Night, which are very popular in our area. A portion of the sales when the customer says they are with that school/organization is donated. It means flagging that transaction so we can tally sales from that organization later. I’m thinking of using a discount of a penny because I know that can be reported on, but is there a better way?

That is one way! You could also add a note to each sale that needs to be flagged and put whatever messaging you want to there so that way you can look at it later under the Transactions.
