Shopventory Add On

We use Shopventory as our inventory tracker add on to Square. Recently I just discovered that when I change a cost on an item, if our price goes up or down, it retroactively changes the cost of that item all the way back to when it was created or imported in the history (there's no cost averaging). Due to this, our bookkeeper and myself aren't matching up on inventory totals. Has anyone else come across this, and how did you handle it?

Is this in your Square reporting, or in Shopventory, @FLWGraycliff? 

This shouldn't be the case in your Square reports; historic sales data cannot be altered, so item price changes shouldn't change past sales.

I can't speak to how Shopventory's reporting is intended to work however, so if need be you might want to reach out to their Support team as well.
