I'm in a band, and I use square to run my merch table. We often have different merch people help at different shows, or sometimes another band will cover the table while one of us is up on stage.
Is there a good way to switch between two different stores on one device? Currently we either give our phones to each other, which is bad, or even worse, give each other our passwords for them to login on their own devices.
I had another band add me as a team member, thinking that would solve it, but that only seems to let me log hours working for them and doesn't actually give me access to their store. Or maybe I just can't figure out how to do it correctly.
@chrisgraue They can add you, but you would have to be logged into their point of sale on the app. What I recommend in this situation is to set up a device code for the point of sale for each location and write those codes down. You can then log into the point of sale app using just the device code and use team permissions to restrict it to just sales.
This is a pain, but the only other alternative is to download the square point of sale app, the retail app, and even the restaurant app. You can log into each one with a different location and switch between the three to quickly switch who you are selling for. The big thing here is that each has a different setup/interface, but you can sell merchandise through all 3.
The last alternative is to pick up a couple cheap tablets and hot spot a phone and just switch between physical tablets. You could even just get 2 or 3 phones and use the wifi hotspot.
Just some ideas.
