I am having a school auction and will have 4 contactless chip readers connected via bluetooth to 4 different devices next to each other. Any problems with having these close to each other? Does bluetooth cross over? As long as each reader is connected to only the one device am I ok? Thanks for your help!
Shouldn't be a problem!
Bluetooth devices pair one-to-one (meaning they can only be connected to one device at a time) so there won't be any interference between your readers. When you pair them you'll also see the unique ID for each Reader so it should be pretty easy to keep them organized.
Let us know how it goes!
Hello @RHSFoundatrion
I realize your event referenced in your post was some time ago, but I read that you were using Square at a charity auction and thought I'd pass along that we (AuctionZoom) have partnered with Square to create an auction event solution integrated with Square payments. The system is called Bidstation and one of the main benefits is being able to use Square to save cards on file when guests check in so they don't have to visit checkout to pay. It's an affordable solution for any size of event and it's backed by over 10 years of experience and a lot of passion for running great charity auction fundraisers.
If you're still involved with your event, feel free to direct message me if you'd like to have a chat about Bidstation for it.
