Thank you for the reply. I see that could be an option but I'm not using the square online store. I'm using solely the POS as my store is hosted somewhere else but I'm generating the codes from my square online appt control panel and inserted that code on my online store hosted outside of square.

Hi,

I'm seriously thinking of using Square for my tour business to book reservations as far so good except one thing, i can't seem to find how to offer quantities. For instance, for a tour we charge $$ per person but we need to offer the ability to add quantities to accommodate more than just one person. for the life of me I can't seem to figure that out and I'm starting to think it doesn't exist. Please help!

Hi @waikikibiketour and welcome to the Seller Community!

 

With Square's Online Store your customers are able to select a quantity from a dropdown box before they place their order.

 

To set a quantity for a tour (number of tickets/available places): 

  1. Navigate to your Store Editor.
  2. Click Edit Event, or click Add or import event to create a new one.
  3. Below Ticket Details click on Quantity to enter the number of tickets/places in a tour. 

When you've entered a quantity, your customers will be able to book more than one ticket or place on a tour if they need to. 

  • When all the places have been sold, customers will see Out of Stock.
  • If a customer tries to book 2 tickets but there's only one left, they'll see Only 1 remaining

If you're still working on setting up your store you can click Preview from the Store Editor at any time. This is a great way to see how your Online Store appears to your customers!

Understood! I'm very sorry for jumping to conclusions! 

 

With the Point of Sale app you can add multiple items to a sale (in your case, multiple places in a tour) but I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for either.

 

Can you tell me a bit more about your order flow currently? How you are you generating codes from your Square Online Store?
