Question about Dock for NFC Reader

Hey! I know that the NFC reader can only be wirelessly paired to one device at a time. I've got a couple large events coming up where we won't have time to unpair and then re-pair the reader to my employee's mobile devices. I'd prefer each employee to use separate devices so we can work more efficiently.

So I guess what I'm saying is that I'd just like a way for my employees to use the NFC reader without needing to pair it via bluetooth. Is this a possibility? If I purchase the dock, can it be plugged into different phones without having to pair via bluetooth?

Hey @christinaw, thanks for bringing this up.

I wish we could offer an alternative solution, but only way to make this work with anything other than Square Stand is to connect the reader via Bluetooth. At this time, if you're not using Bluetooth, the dock can only connect via USB to Square Stand — which can only work with a compatible iPad.

How many employees will be accepting payments? You might consider getting them set up with their own Contactless and Chip Readers so they don't have to pair and un-pair.
