Prevent customers from leaving their card in reader?

Is there an alert so people don't leave their card in reader?

I don't know as I always pull the card out as soon as it has rung up.  I can't think of a time that it has made noise beyond the completed transaction noise.

I make a habit of ALWAYS waiting for all the lights to light up letting me know its finished and then pulling it out and saying here is your card.

During set up I selected US instead of UK by mistake. How do I amend this so that I can trade in GBP sterling?
