I'd like to set up some items that have two different prices for the same stock. The first price will be the cheaper price with a limit on how many can be purchased. The 2nd price will be more expensive but with no purchase limit. For example:
We are selling event tickets at a discounted rate of $20 for the first 4. After the first 4, the price will increase to $25.
Is it possible to set up the inventory this way?
Hello @Bmsbea!
You can create variations for a single item and each variation can have a different stock level or price point. Here are the steps to create an item and variations. So you could have one variation for the discounted tickets, and another variation for the full price tickets. Alternatively you could create a discount and manually apply it to the first four sales.
Keep in mind when you're selling items from the app if your inventory reaches zero you will technically still be able to selling that item. You can set up stock alerts to monitor your sales closely. And when you've sold all the tickets you can remove the item from all locations so it's not accidentally sold. To remove an item from the app go to from your online Square Dashboard > click Locations > uncheck the box for any locations.
Hope this helps you to get started. I'll be here if you have any other questions!
