Working on our loyalty program and want to have one of the rewards be a free drink. We sell beer and wine and have a lot of different options and wondering how I can do the reward so that I don't have to select every item from the category.
Does the discount on a specific category apply to one item on the ticket or every item on the ticket in that category?
Hello @SandTrapIndoorG and thanks for you question. You can set a reward to come from items within a singular category, but the actual reward is set at either a dollar amount, or specific percentage. In the case below I use in my store, everything in my category is set at the same price, so I just discount it by the cost of one item. If you have several prices within the same category, I think you'd have to pick an average price or the max. price (your call on this). I hope this helps answer your question. Some other users of Square Loyalty may have another option for you that they have experience with, but this is what I've done.
Thanks for the info, thats what I was thinking. Guess I will have to just use the item option and manually add every drink cause the range of prices is too big to do a max amount.
