Let Customer Choose an Option

I have a greeting card business and I want to allow my customers to choose what saying they want in their cards. I am a bit confused with options (which I tried and didn't seem to work), modifiers, and attributes. Which do I use? I appreciate any help.

@oliverid5 If the sayings are pre-determined and you just want them to pick, set up a modifier list and limit it to 1 choice.  That way the customer will pick their saying when they purchase the item.  Attributes are special descriptions for items used in retail.

If your sayings are wordy...you can always set up a list in the description that is pick your greeting and list #1 #2 #3 etc and make your modifier greeting #1 I wish...

#2 You are...

etc. to make the modifier list shorter and easy to manage.

You can then apply the messages to whatever card designs you like.
