Is there a way to see item margins/markup after entering costs?

I like to set pricing using margin. Is there a way to see item margins/markup after entering costs?

Hi @Vinifera! It sounds like you're looking for the Cost of Goods Sold report, which is available when you subscribe to Square for Retail.

There are multiple places where as a retailer viewing your margin on your product would be ideal to ensure you are priced correctly. I have 1200 items, I want to see my margins constantly so I can ensure I am priced correctly. Additionally a flag should appear if you price an item less than you paid (many times I have created a new item and inverted COG and retail price)

Running a report should be my last option, its inefficient for daily routine

I would like to request that at a glace I can see my margin in the following areas:

• On item inventory list (spot anomalies when browsing catalog)
• Purchase orders after COG added (helps verify we don't need to adjust sale price) <---Most important place IMHO
• Item edit screen (where I would change the price, lets see the margin)
