Is there a way to link an online sale to a specific sales person?

I own a fundraising business and have a school that wants to do an online fundraiser, but want the students who get their supporters purchase something want to receive credit for each sales.  Is there a way for customer to put in a "sales persons" name to credit for each sale at checkout?

Could you just add a "variation" or "modifier" which would be a dropdown with all the students names in it then the Customer could just select the name?
