I am an artist and use square to sell at events. The bulk of my items are individual peices or really small editions (less than 12). Is there a way to discontinue them once they are sold? I have a number of items that are just cluttering up my register.

You can delete an item (but you lose the transactional history). Or you can put them in a 'No Longer Stocked' category, but that doesn't hide the items on some devices (like my iphone), which won't show categories. Works on an ipad however.

I just came across this answer and wanted to confirm it with Square. They tell me that you will not loose the transaction history for the deleted items. You will retain the information prior to deletion, and will simply not have the information from the date it is deleted forward. I hope this helps! No need to create a category for items no longer for sale!
