I am with a DS company where we need to add shipping to every order and I have it as aseparate line item, but was wondering if there was a setting to have it automatically show up on every order without needing to remember to select it.

Thanks for reaching out—are you referring to online sales or within the Point of Sale app?
If you're set up with an online store, you can set up rates or use real-time shipping. With that, a shipping charge will apply when someone places an order. More details on that here: Set Up Real Time Shipping.
If you're processing these payments face-to-face with the Point of Sale app, you'll need to add shipping charges manually. So that I can share more information with our Point of Sale Team on this request, are your shipping rates variable or flat rate?

In the app, and thankfully shipping is a flat rate fee.
