Is it possible to rename a contactless reader?

I have two readers that I use at different locations. I’d like to give them more memorable names than their SN#.

there is not a way to name readers as they are just "dumb devices" that pass encrypted info to the connected device, but you can name your iPads etc that the reader connects to.
