Is it possible to customize the email a customer receives after making an online purchase? And how?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

And please note, I am not asking about customizing receipts as I have already done that and it does not seem to affect these email conformations.

 

Context:

I am using my squareup online store to sell hoodies AND collect donations. I ran a test and purchased a few hoodies and made a small donation. I was happy to see that separate confirmation emails are sent (one confirming the hoodie purchase and one confirming the donation). But I was disappointed to see that the donation email confirmation did not mention a thank you and did not include my organizations' EIN.

And, unfortunately, I can't figure out how to customize these emails to even say a simple thank you.
I did figure out how to customize receipts (under account settings) but the customizations I made under receipts in Account Settings did not show up in the confirmation emails.

Thanks for reaching out and taking the time to share your experience with this. Currently, the ability to customize purchase notification emails for the Online Store is not available. 

 

For now, you might need to follow up with people who make donations directly, or you may consider mentioning in the donation description that donors would need to reach out for the organization's EIN.

Thank you for the quick response (although that's a bummer to hear).

 

Another question that has come up is that our customers are all getting two email confirmations for each purchase (leading some to beloeve that they accidentally made their purchase twice.)

 

Is there any way to fix this? I searched online and found no suggestions.

Thanks for circling back, Regan, and I'm sorry for any confusion that these settings may cause. At this time, there isn't a way to change how these emails are sent out. For now, my best suggestion is to leave a short note in the item or donation description that clarifies a customer will receive a notification for each purchase/donation.
