We are a brick and mortar music retail store who primarily uses reverb.com to facilitate online sales. We have been looking to create a Square Space Online Store to cut out the cost of doing business with a third party. In the process of creating the store we have run into a very specific problem regarding how the website lists prices.
As a music retailer our prices are often negotiable and to help our sales staff navigate a sale, we list multiple prices in the p.o.s to reflect our advertised price, minimum price and the cost of the item. When trying to list an item to the Square Online Store, the program is not able to differentiate from the different prices and lists them all as options for the customer.
We have tried to work around this by putting the prices into the description category in the p.o.s. but this creates a whole new set of problems down the road. I would like to know if there is any way to customize how the item is priced and displayed on the website. Idealistically I would love the option to be able to create and customize a listing on the Square Website that functions independently from the p.o.s listing. I want to be able to control what information the customer is able to see on the website without having to change how I list products in our p.o.s system.
