Making sure I understand you correctly: you have an item on the sale and you want to remove it before closing out the sale? If so, all you have to do is swipe left on the item on the right side of your screen (assuming you're using either the regular Point of Sale or Register). A red delete box will show where the price usually is.

if I'm not getting what you're saying, please clarify and we can go from there
