I have an employee that doesn't have a smart phone. Can I have a terminal on my ipad for her?

I have an employee who doesn't have an smart phone and therefore is unable to have the app to run cards.  My business is a taxi/shuttle business so I really need her to be able to swipe cards.  I have an ipad, wondering if I get the app set up on it, can it swipe cards even though it is not connected to the internet most of the time?  Is there a limit on the amount?  Any other suggestions?

Yes, this will work you just need to turn on "Offline Mode".   However, Offline Mode was there for internet disruptions not for going a whole day.  You may see declined sales after it connects and tries to run the cards.  I would look into a cellular iPad.  Connection is much cheaper then a smart phone on most networks.
