I did an instant transfer to a closed account and a debit card no longer good. What happens now??

I did an instant transfer to a closed account and a deactivated debit card. What will happen to the money transferred...will it be returning to my account?

One of two things:

The bank may keep the account open for some time, specifically for situations like this. I would recommend contacting your bank to see if they have any record of the transfer.

Should the bank immediately close the account, the funds will bounce back to us. Once we receive them, the funds will become available in your Square Balance again. 

Have you changed the debit card linked to your account?

I have changed the debit card and the bank account information...I had changed it before I have no idea why the old account showed up.

That account has been closed a year.
