How to have all items itemized on receipt

I run a thrift store with simple categories such as Adult Clothing, Books, Media, etc. and thus I don't have a need to keep inventory. 

I would like each item purchased to appear on the receipt line item by line item even within the same category and price.

For example, when someone buys 3 books @ $1.50 each it will show "Books x 3   $4.50"

even though I ring them up separately. If possible I would like it to show each piece on it's own line so the customer can quickly see that I charged $1.50 per book. 

So instead of 

Books x 3      $4.50

Clothing x 2   $4.00

I would like to see

Books        $1.50

Books        $1.50

Books        $1.50

Clothing    $2.00

Clothing    $2.00

The only way to get the items to list on receipt like you want to is to add variations. The system defaults to lumping all same priced items together instead of breaking them out
