How to get a report of gross sales by payment type

Our state (MA) is now requiring restaurants to break out cash versus credit sales in reporting gross sales on the meals tax return we are required to file monthly. On the Square Sales Summary report, the cash and credit card amounts relate to the Total Sales (including tips and taxes) instead of Gross Sales. I spent nearly an hour on the phone with a Square representative yesterday but she didn't really understand what I was asking. Does anyone know how to get this information?

Hi @SuzetteCreperie,

 

Try to see under "custom reports" under "reports" if you can create one with "payment methods" filter on. Delete all the other sections auto generated for a cleaner report. Let me know if that's what your looking for 🙂
