How long will the Contactless reader stay on? How do I accept Apple/Android payments?

I havde the wireless reader and will use it for the first time October 20.

From what I understand, I have to press the button one time before using it.

How long will the unit stay on?

Do I need to do anything special for Androp/Apple payment?

after setting it up the first time you connect it to a device yes you only have to hit the button once to pair the devices.  It is Bluetooth LE so it lasts for days as it goes into Low Power mode when not being used.  once paired to a device you would have to pair it to another device to use it as it is a one to one connection.
