How long to download the Square Register App?

I have been trying to download the updated Square register app today.  I have an Iphone 4S, with a recently updated operating system.  I use Verizon and also have satellite WiFi in my home.  I was prompted to connect to Wifi which I did, now it is 2 hours later and the little Square Icon on my phone says "waiting" under it and I cannot open the App.  Should this be taking this long?     I have a craft show in about two weeks and I'm trying to update everything for the chip reader so that I will be ready to go.

Something is definetly not going right.  If the icon just says waiting then it hasn't even started downloading the app.

Well, progress is being made I guess.  It now says "loading" so I hope this means that it is actually in process of getting the App.  Thanks for the reply.

Were you able get the app installed @mythkeeper? 

Generally speaking, the app should download within seconds if you have a stable internet connection. Let me know if you're still having trouble!

Hi everyone.  Thanks for the replies - I did get the App loaded but I had to take my phone to work to do it.  Also, and I'm so excited to report, I just got a new IPhone 6S Plus so that I can see my Square register screen more clearly.  I love this phone and when we re-loaded my backup from ICloud the App came across.  The next challenge is to get the Square Chip Reader to work, but that is a chore for this weekend.  I have to Shows in June, so am looking forward to getting everything up and running.
