I had to create a new account to reflect a name change of the owner. Is it possible to transfer the old data (client information, credit card, etc) to the new account? If so, would you please give me directions?
Thanks for your post. You can transfer over the client information that is public and savable from one account to another. Credit card information is not part of stored information in your account, so if you customers want to put their credit card on file, you would need to request that with the new account.
You can Export your Customer information from the old account by going to the Export button of your Customer Directory in your Square Dashboard.
Once you have exported your Customer information, you can Import it to the new account.
Hi Kellyj - can you export and import all of your SALES DATA? For example I have 2 years of Data and we are looking to update the Name of our business but maintain the SALES DATA as we update KDS, Square for Retail, etc... and change our look and match our improvements and SALES data of OLD to NEW? Is this possible?
