I have been using Square for about 5 five years now. Nothing I have done has required me to keep track of any sort of inventory in Square. I'm contemplating starting a new venture which would include keeping track of inventory and possibly doing quite a bit with an online store. I'm trying to find how to videos, or just trying to figure out how to enter inventory on my own, but I'm having no luck trying to figure out how to go about this properly so it will not give me headaches in the future.
I'm trying to enter record albums in to inventory, but trying to search the words record, album, or anything like that yields me not the correct responses.
Any help on how to go about this, or videos to watch on how to enter inventory would be very helpful. Part of it is, selling an item that essentially has two searchable titles (the artist and the album name) is not something that appears to be easy to enter.
Hello @WiltonRecords! Thanks for being such a loyal Square seller, and congrats on your new venture! 🎉
I'd suggest checking out our Basic Inventory Management. The features that it offers should work just fine for what you're looking to do.
When it comes to searching your records by title/artist, you'll want to put the title and name of the artist as the name of the entire item. For example: Abbey Road - The Beatles. Then when you go to search either by title or artist name, you'll get the results you're looking for.
I hope this is helpful!
