How do I move a general transaction to an Item?

We have an Item created for an event, but someone sold a ticket without choosing the Item. Is there a way I can move it into the Item that was created for this event?

If it was a cash transaction you can just refund it and resell the item, but if it was a credit card transaction there isn't a way to change it without refunding the card and then asking the customer for the card again.
