How do I get my business on giveandgetlocal.com?

The title of this post has been edited by a moderator.

I have just noticed that my business, Michael's Mobile Massage LLC, is not included in the new giveandgetlocal.com directory started by Square.com and would like to know what needs to be done to add it to zipcode 92211.
Thank you,
Michael Wolfes, Owner

Hi @mmm2hands,

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.

Currently, only businesses that have had a Square account and offer eGift Cards through Square have been automatically included in the Give and Get Local Directory.

If you have a Square account but have not started selling Square eGift Cards yet, visit the eGift Cards tab in your online Square Dashboard to set up your eGift Card order page and upload an eGift Card design. Once you set up your eGift Cards order page, toggle on Sell eGift Cards online and Show my eGift Cards in public directories. After you toggle these on, your business should appear in the Give and Get Local Directory automatically. Be sure to check your business name and location by visiting Account & Settings from your online Square Dashboard.

Feel free to check out this link for more information and please let me know if you have any other questions by replying to this thread.

Note: Square accounts created after March 1st, 2020, are currently not eligible to be included in Give and Get Local.

I received a Square email about promoting local business who offer eGift cards. I checked the directory and My online store isn't listed...is it because it's through Weebly? Again...the disconnect between the "free" square store and any upgrade to Weebly seems to just muddy the waters. Is this one in the same, or separate?

My store isn't listed either. I have a physical and free online store. I was wondering why?

I found out that you have to turn on a the give and get local directory from your website!

I got an email from Square, so maybe try this. It worked for me.  Go into your square dashboard, and choose gift cards from the left side menu. there may be an option to opt-in on this new website to show that you offer gift cards.

I got the same email yesterday and already had changed the setting to show up in the directory. It's still not showing up when I search for my zip code. ☹️

SkipjacksMD do you have your egift cards set up? Maybe try going in and moving some of your cards around and saving. The system may not have recognized that you have set up your ecards. So just doing something and saving it might cause the system to recognize that you are set up. Hopefully that helps.

Yup, e-gift cards have been set up for a while. I've tried all that several times. Even un-selecting the "list in directory" option and saving and re-selecting. Clicked on my actual e-gift card link and it's all there. Just not actually showing up in the directory when I enter my zip code. I even double checked my zip code in my settings and it's all correct.

I received an email yesterday on how to add my eGift cards to the giveandgetlocal.com website. I signed into my account, and under gift cards, selected: "Show my eGift Cards in public directories" and hit save. I entered my zip code into the directory to see if my shop shows up and after 24 hours and refreshing, it's still not showing up. Please help.

Hi there, @SkipjacksMD! Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Seller Communtiy. Good to hear from you again!

I've merged your post concerning the Give & Get Local initiative to an existing thread of Sellers who were also curious about visibility, as well. I would take a look at this Best Answer from Alex to insure you've checked off all the relevant steps for appearing. It's important to note here that there may be a delay in your business reflecting on the site due to the volume of Sellers completing these steps as well.

Hey @appchic-

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community!

Please take a look at @Alex_'s post, along with these instructions:

If you are already set up to sell Square eGift Cards online but you do not see your business listed in the directory and would like to be included in the search results, please visit the eGift Cards section of your online Square Dashboard and toggle on Show a link to my eGift Cards in public directories. Once you toggle this on, your business should appear in the Give and Get Local Directory instantly.

Note: Square accounts created after March 1st, 2020, are currently not eligible to be included in Give and Get Local.

@isabelle We have had those clicked that's why i am not sure why it still isn't showing us online though. We have had our square account for years but the egiftscard was recently setup, if that is the issue?

@appchic Hmmm, that shouldn't be an issue. Is the location/zip code correct here

If this continues, please contact our Support Team so they can look into this.

My business, Maroznia's Adornments is still not showing up on Give and Get Local. I do sell egift-cards and all of my settings are on for that? Am I doing something wrong? There are a whole bunch of business that pop up in my location. 06479

Hi @Maroznia,

When did you first start selling with Square and create your account with us?
