Happy to help clarify. To get going, you can link and edit your bank account directly from your Square Dashboard. Once you have your new bank account verficiation started, if you want to remove the previous one - just give us a call when you're free. After verifying some additional security details, we can can remove that account and assure that no other deposits are sent to it. Please keep in mind our phone lines are open  Monday - Friday from 6AM - 6PM PT. 👍

The old bank account is still in place until your new bank account completes the verification process. Once your new bank account is successfully verified,  then will your old bank will unlink. 

 

Please note: funds will continue to transfer to your old bank during this time. To prevent this from happening, you'll need to contact Support directly to delete your old bank account. squ.re/contact

Hi there, @Bowtiquebysj 👋 Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Seller Community!

 

At this time, there is no way to remove your bank account from the Online Dashboard without replacing it with a new account. However, if you reach out to our Support Team, they can help you remove the bank account altogether without a replacement.

 

For record keeping purposes, I've gone ahead and merged your post into an existing thread of Sellers who were also looking for this information.

Great question! 

 

In order to stop transfers from reaching your old bank account you will want to switch your Transfer Options to Manual Transfer

 

Here's how to do that: 

 

You are able to pause automatic nightly transfers and change to manual transfers, directly from your online Square Dashboard, or from the Square app.

 

  1. Navigate to Settings in your online Square Dashboard or Square Point of Sale app.
  2. Select Balance.
  3. Under Transfer Schedule > select Manual.
