I just noticed that the wrong name is appearing on my receipts. How do I change the business name that appears on the receipt?
You can edit the business name displayed on your receipt from the Square Dashboard here: https://squareup.com/dashboard/business/receipt.
Also, you can update your General business name from the Dashboard here: https://squareup.com/dashboard/account.

I was working at a beauty shop when I set it up and since have opened my own and when I send my clients a receipt it still says from the other salon.
You can ecdit your receipt information by going to Account and Settings then receipts.
Nope, been everywhere. I can only change the name on the top. It still says the other name on the bottom under account. Is this something I have to be on a computer for?
Your solution did not work for me. I feel like I've been through everything and all settings look correct, then a customer showed me their receipt today and it's still wrong.

Currently every receipt is showing the same name. I am new to the company so it appears that this name was a former admin but I don't see anything in the settings.

I moved your post to an existing post in the Community on how to edit your receipts and update the business name on it.
It sounds like the old admin may of put their name on the receipt or business name under Settings.

if you go to your homepage, click on your Account & Settings button, on the left hand menu click the Business dropdown so it opens up and then click Receipt, there you will see a preview of the digital receipt and all the information you can change.

From Dashboard > Account & Settings > Business > Locations . Click the location to edit your biz name. Also, you can customize receipts if you back out of Locations and click Receipt.
How do I change my company name on customer receipts?
I am having this issue too but it's not specific to AMEX customers. The copy of the e-mail receipt I get when an order is placed shows the old business name. I have changed the business name and the receipt appearance to show the correct name, but the e-mails still show the incorrect name. Is there a fix for this?
