How do I change an amount for the charge if I have typed it incorrectly?

If you’re using the app on a smartphone, tap C on the keypad screen > Clear Sale if you have typed the amount in wrong.
If you're referring to editing or adjusting the amount on a transaction after it has been processed, this is not something that can be done. You’re unable to adjust transaction details, such as the amount, date, and time for any completed payment. Sorry about that!
You can always refund the amount, and then charge your customer again for the correct amount.
