The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Billing question - ground practice collecting payments.
Hello, I use square for my practice and I have my independent contractors linked to my square/business account. Is there a way that I can verify what they have collected for each day? Am I able to see the "customers name" and what they charged each customer without having to ask to see her app on her phone? It would be great if I could log in to my square dashboard and run a report. Is this possible? Thanks for any help and guidance.
There are a few ways you can go about this...
The first one I recommend (if you're not already) is to make sure you're using the Mobile Employees feature Square offers. Each person gets their own login, and reporting for you is a LOT easier.
If you're not using Mobile Employees, you can still see who sold what and to who. On all your reports, look for the "Filter By" dropdown. Choose Device. A new dropdown will appear with everyone's device name "Joe's iPhone", etc).
Using Mobile Employees means you can use the Employee Sales report to see gross sales.
To dig deeper into customers, you can pull the transaction reports and look at each individual sale, which is kind of time consuming. If you really need to be on top of customer information per transaction, I recommend using the Invoice feature built into the Point of Sale app or the standalone Invoices app.
