How can I sign out of Square on a stolen device?

Please follow these steps to ensure your Square account information is protected:

  1. Contact our Support Team and let them know that your device is missing. They will automatically log you out of the app on all of your devices, after confirming your security information, so anyone attempting to access the app will need your password to log in.
     

  2. Change your password. You can do this by visiting Square’s password reset page from a computer. Enter the email address tied to your Square account and click Send Instructions. We’ll automatically send you instructions to reset your password within a few minutes. Learn more about resetting your Square password.

 

For additional security, you may also want to consider password protecting your entire device:

  • iOS: Understanding passcodes.

  • Android: Contact your mobile device retailer for instructions on how to set up passcode protection.

If you also lost your Square Reader, you can order a new one at any time.
