How can I see who purchased an online gift card?

Someone bought an e-gift card online yesterday. I received no notice at the time of the transaction. Discovered that the transaction occurred with my morning emailed deposit notice. I would like to see who bought the gift card. I can’t find a report detailing that information. Anyone?

Hello @Victoriapennock

You can view the sender of the eGift Card. If you're on the Gift Card tab of the Square Dashboard and you select a gift card, you'll see a pop out on the right side of your screen with view in blue. If you select view it will take you to the transaction page and you'll see the individual who purchased the card.

You can find the transaction in your transaction report but it may not list the customer name.

Is there a setting that would require either an email or customer name when processing an ecard?

I just sold my first eGift card but I can't see who bought it! Where do I go to see this?

Thanks!

I have had several gift cards sold. It is important to me to know how to identify who made the purchases so that I can have a record.

Hi @Sarahpaige- That's awesome that you're selling those gift cards!

I moved your question here so you can check out Chad's answer on how to locate that information.

I can see the report containing the Token, PAN, issue date, etc. But, is there a way to see WHO is purchasing an e-card? Any identifying information? Email or name w phone number?

I would like to be able to identify them and offer priority appointments when the Covid-19 shut down is lifted.

These random numbers aren't helping with this plan.

Also, what is the token and pan number? Do I have to enter one of them for them to redeem? And how can I redeem them on the POS once we open? Is there a barcode we can scan?

Hey @KKV and welcome to the Community!

I moved your post to an existing thread where another seller had the same question.

Sometimes the name doesn't show but check @Valentina 's answer on here to see if that shows you some more information.

E-Gift cards send the number for it to the customer directly by email to redeem which they can redeem online or in store with you.
