How Can I Consolidate Inventory Instead Of Using Inventory Per Location?

I sell wild-caught Alaskan seafood at farmers markets in Central Texas. Because I am in multiple markets, I have multiple locations set up to track sales data per location. However, for inventory purposes I have a central warehouse which I draw from for each market and then return unsold items to after market. I do not have a standing per location inventory. Just a warehouse inventory.

 

How do I turn off per location inventory and just have one inventory number per item? Is this possible? If not possible, how can I effectively track inventory when I am not storing it in different locations? Thanks!

@SavoryAlaska I'm in the same situation. I have one walk in freezer on the farm. I sell at multiple markets. I need one inventory that all locations draw from/report to. Square really needs to address this. Search central inventory. Folks have been patiently asking since 2016.

I am having this same issue! Has anyone been able to resolve it?

I am a farmer and have one inventory, but sell to multiple locations. I need customers to choose their location once they've chosen their items.

I just want to clarify, where do you want the customer to select the location? Is this for your Square Online Store? Or in person?

Thank you for your response. I want our  customers to be able to select their preferred pickup location at the checkout stage. Yes, it’s for the square online store.

 Having inventory from multiple locations tracked under one main location is not available, it would be a feature request. I would suggest submitting a feature request on our Ideate Board, our new process of tracking these requests. Make sure to include as many details on the importance of this feature for your business needs. I would recommend other sellers on this thread comment there as well, the more sellers chime into the request, the more likely it is to catch our product team's eye. If you set up pick-up orders then at checkout sellers will be able to pick their location. Can you provide me with more details on the issue, and what you are running into so I can better assist?
