Help on setting up an item.

I cant find where you change it to available for sale online! HELP

The Make an Item Available Online function seems to be gone. Now you just put it in your store and make the entire store available for view.  Make sure you are choosing a fulfillment type, ie, Delivery Method (Shipping, Pickup, Electronic) when adding Items to Categories or they wont show up. Is that what is happening, maybe?

In case that's not it and your store itself isn't visible, try these:

From your Square Dashboard:

Online Store

Store Settings

Site Status

Toggle to Visible Online

Or

From your Square Dashboard:

Online Store

Site Editor

At the very top of the screen click on the middle box that probably says "Offline." Change it to "Online" or "Online, Not Taking Orders."

Offline, your store is not visible and when the URL is searched for the page will say, "Page Not Found."

Online, anyone can see and make purchases.

Online, Not Taking Orders, anyone can see the store but they can't make any purchases.

I have the same question - and sure hope it's not that either the store is online or offline. I currently have about 20 items in my store, with only 3 of them showing up. They were all created prior to the most recent updates. I just created a new item, added it successfully, checked my store, and the item is not showing. I'm thinking there has to be a way to turn it on/off. I've also submitted a question to Support about this, and will update when I here back from them.

Open to any other suggestions.

Just experienced the same problem and finally stumbled across a solution. In your dashboard, where you created the new item, look for the Online Store Settings area in the right-hand sidebar where you entered the price and product details. Click on the Go To Editor link. Once you're on that page, it looks just like your store. Hover your mouse over the bottom of the group of products and you should see an Add Or Import Items link appear. Click this and you'll open a list of your products. On that list is where you toggle to make a new product available and set fulfillment options. This looks new (at least to me) and it's as unclear as it could be that this exists. Not great design or functionality on Square's part.
