Hi team,
I added an email subscription section to my website, when a customer signs up, they appear as not opted in under my mailing list.
If they are entering their details through a subscription section I would have thought they'd be auto opted in to receive marketing.
Is there any way to change this so I can assure to be emailing correct customers.

I'm having the same issue. Could you say what worked for you? Did you find a solution? My customers are supposed to get a discount coupon when signing up to my newsletter so they should get an immediate follow up email but there is no opt in. Thanks.
There is no form settings for the Email Subscription section to add the email notification to forward messages to. Customers are supposed to get a discount coupon when they sign up to the newsletter but they are not getting any immediate followup email with the coupon code. There is a form setting in the Contact Us section but oddly not in the Email subscription section. How do I set this up? Thanks.

Jumping in here to help. Which website platform are you using? Most web platforms or web form tools come with an opt-in check-box when creating newsletter or sign up forms.
