Does Square Payroll submit withheld taxes from Prior Payroll Provider?

I have emailed square twice, and not gotten an answer to the question.  They sent me links to articles that did not answer the question, and said that someone would call and nobody did.

 

I started square payroll midway through January.  I uploaded my previous payroll provider information, including gross pay and withholdings.  I was a monthly depositor for my employer withholdings.  It appears that Square does weekly deposits (or the IRS does weekly withdrawals) with my weekly payroll.  But, for those first two weeks of January, the amounts due to be deposited are not yet handled.  Should I do a regular deposit like I had been doing, for those first two weeks?  Or does Square do a "Catch up" transaction and submit those withholdings.  I have until the 15th of February to make that deposit without being overdue, but I don't want to duplicate the deposit if square is going to handle it.

I checked in with our Payroll team and it sounds like an email was sent your way on 1/29/2020 with an answer to your question here. You may also want to check your SPAM folder for it just in case it was routed there by mistake.

 

Let me know if you don't see that email and I'll see if Payroll can send another your way.
