Do I have to create an invoice in order to be able to apply a discount?

Relatively new to this process and I've been able to create invoices and discounts, and even take a card at POS,.  If I need to apply a discount at POS though I haven't been able to do that without creating an invoice.  Am I missing something?

You should be able to Apply Discounts through POS. You can also learn how to Create and Manage Discounts.
