It's not possible to disable the order confirmation email from being sent. Out of curiosity, are you wanting to disable it for yourself, or for your customers?
Disable for myself. I ge an email for every online order
Thanks for confirming. I usually recommend setting up a some kind of email filter so that the order confirmations are automatically moved to a specific folder in your email. You can find instructions to do this in Gmail here, and I'm sure other email providers have a similar setup.
