I keep getting this message on a red screen when I try to access my site. It didnt happen last week when I first set it up. Is it an easy fix for a clueless technophobe?
Attackers on alphalandscapephotography.weebly.com may trick you into doing something dangerous like installing software or revealing your personal information (for example, passwords, phone numbers or credit cards)
@LocalBizHelper - Sorry to hear you continue to see this on your end. We recommend giving our Support team a call tomorrow so they can take a closer look with you.
You can give us a call between 6am-6pm Pacific Time, Monday-Friday.
I need help with this too. My SSL is enabled yet I am getting the same deceptive site ahead message! Please help! Mine is away300.weebly.com
I use chrome I know others have had this issue in a past
My apologies I wasn't more clear. I'm trying to find out what version of Chrome you are using. If you go to whatismybrowser.com it will show you the version that you can copy/paste here. 😊
Since it seems we are only receiving reports for the standard Chrome browser, the engineers may be able to find a common denominator (like specific version) that may help with debugging the error.
Oh I see my mistake
It says:
Chrome on Linux
Chrome 108 on Android 12
Hi, everyone. Just wanted to update here that we are still looking into the cause for this error. I'l continue to post updates here as I receive them from the team.
Thanks to everyone for your continued patience.
I tried clearing the cache in google chrome. I MUST use chrome for this process. When I tried to verify the site with google search console I downloaded a file from google and tried to upload it in the weebly "file" widget, but it said that I can't upload this type of file.
How can I fix this?
Hi! I'm having the same problem. My website comes up fine on Safari, but through Chrome it says, deceptive site ahead. My SSL is enabled. I also cleared cookies and data cache from Chrome. My website is cindystonebrook.weebly.com Appreciate any help!
Thank you!
Hi @CStone77 I'm not able to duplicate the described error. Is this also happening in Chrome Incognito?
Hi Bernadettea, it works fine in incognito mode. I sent the link to a friend through FB messenger to see if they had issues as well. The link worked fine and they were able to see my page through the link on messenger, but when he typed the link in through google Chrome, he received the same error.
Thank you! It says Chrome 108 on Windows 10.
I just published the site.
Thank you!
Thanks so much. I re-triggered the SSL for you, but will need to give it 24 hours to fully propagate. Myself, or another member of the Community will be checking back in on this tomorrow to confirm the SSL was enabled properly.
Thanks for your continued patience ❤️
Hi there! Unfortunately, my site still says, deceptive site. If it will help, I would like to delete the site altogether and then I can rebuild a new one. I had intended to revamp the whole thing anyway. But all I see is the unpublish button? Thank you for all of your help!
I'm sorry to hear you're still having trouble with your site, @CStone77! Can you share a link so we can take a look?
You can start again by selecting Website > Site Preferences > Reset to Default in your Square online Dashboard.

Thank you! My site is www.cindystonebrook.weebly.com
Hi @CStone77 I just wanted to jump in here real quick to see if I could assist since we were talking on the other thread. I'm showing the site is loading securely in all browsers now. Is it still showing something different for you?
Oh bless you! It's working now! Thank you, thank you for being on this throughout. I really appreciate it.
