Debited charge instead of deposit mistake?

Hi! I am relatively new to square but have used it a few times for the past few months with no problems. Early this morning I got an email from square telling me that a debit from my account will be processed. I'm not sure why I have a debit coming out. I rent my RV, so my amounts are pretty large (a few hundred dollars each) and no more than two per month. Yesterday I made one $302 transaction, but I got an email that square is debiting $240, yet I never got my email that they deposited my $302 transaction (minus their fees of course). Could they have made a mistake? And now they aren't open until Tuesday so I thought I would post here to see if anyone could give me insight. Thanks!

Sorry to hear about the confusion; it sounds like you may have issued a refund? 

 

When you issue a refund, we'll first look to your Square balance to cover the amount of the refund. If there aren't enough funds within your Square balance to cover your refund, Square will debit the remaining funds from your linked bank account. 

 

I'll also note that there are no fees associated with issuing a refund, and your customer will be credited the full amount of the transaction. 

 

Hopefully that helps clarify, let me know if that wasn't the case.
