we are strictly online and a huge part of what we will be doing will be custom orders which means price won't be decided untill we gett everything decided in the cutom order. I was wondering if there was any way to have the price point be, to be determined and then add the price at the end for that specific customer and not be a store wide price? any help would be appreciated
Hi @Highdecors
Are the custom options all predefined and able to be listed for a customer to choose from? Do they all have fixed prices per option choice?
If so, the answer is yes and I can guide you through that. If, however, any custom options are variable in a choice list and/or need human intervention to arrive at a final price, then probably not so much.
Can you elaborate with a real world example?
Thanks,
so we have 3 packages to pick from for custom order and 4 different sets they can choose for those packages. and from those four sets there are multiple different styles to pick from and different amounts they can Choose from since its customized , as we can do themed parties as well like gender reveal or bachelor party Prices range on time, amount, and package choice like
LETS SAY:
you order package 1, set 4, options 8, 4, and 2, you want 3 different colors and you need 40
Whereas
"BOB" orders package 1, set 4, options 3,5, and 7 and needs 40,
you guys live on the same block so shipping would most likely be same price as we only do shipping
nearly everything is the same the only difference is your options take longer to make therefore would cost more than "BOB"
I hope that makes sense
there are multiple options they can choose from, and color doesnt make the final price point so they can pick from a list of what they want from it and it would b=still be customized but that list has all the determining factors in it that decide the final price
@Highdecors It makes sense. I think. I have an early day so need to sleep now. I’ll review this tomorrow and see what solutions I might be able to give you.
umm ok
My apologies if my timing is a problem. I’m a fellow seller who donates time here to help other sellers out as I have the time. Before I offer a possible solution, I need to be sore it’s viable. That requires me to test it out.
Feel free to let me know if you need an answer tonight immediately and I’ll report this thread to Square Customer Success for them to look at. Or you can alternatively contact them here. I didn’t mean to give you the impression I was putting you off. I probably shouldn’t have started this dialogue knowing it might be a few hours to resolve. My apologies, if I upset you.
Hi @Highdecors. Apologies, again, for the delay. I read your responses and have just a few more questions.
Is the price of each Package ENTIRELY determined by the sets and options chosen, or is there a base price for each Package that is then increased as customers add sets and options?
Does each Package share the same 4 sets, or does each Package have its own set?
Likewise, are the options the same for all Packages?
I assume a list of common colors apply to everything, no matter the package, sets or options chosen.
I’m pretty sure I can get a roadmap for creating your item list and modifiers after that.
i actually figured out a way to do it i would create an estimate and then make a one time product with a price, but thank you for your help
